How to design the pre-collaborative phase in order to facilitate collaboration between freelance designers and small- and medium-sized companies?
In the modern world of work, Swiss design industry is facing a trend towards freelancing. Even though small- and medium-sized companies acknowledge design to be an important resource, the access to the right collaboration partner is still difficult. There are over 500.000 small-and medium-sized companies in Switzerland which rely on design.
DESIGNMAT.CH is a peer-to-peer platform which helps small- and medium-sized enterprises find a suitable communication designer within their region. Visual reference projects and configurators ensure that the stake holders’ mutual expectations are made transparent, and thus match, in order to prevent misunderstandings, frustration and loss of resources. The strategy of matching allows for a high degree of congruence and provides an overview of the local design market.
