In the face of omnipresent online news, the traditional paradigm of an edited daily paper seems obsolete. Yet between the printed paper and online publication there lie unknown opportunities for journalists to develop alternative narrative styles.

With the help of augmented reality, even a printed magazine can become an interactive medium for videos, animated infographics and comments. By re-enacting editorial processes and directing workshops on creating speculative concepts, my research focusses on the narrative potential that develops at the intersection between online and offline journalism. A magazine that makes my conclusions accessible serves as a platform for journalists and designers to discuss future developments.
